Commuter students

27 students including 8 student jurors, and 6 members of staff from partner institutions across the sector participated in two online Town Hall Focus Groups (THFGs) on 6 November 2024 and 20 February 2025. The THFGs were part of a knowledge transfer project aimed at enhancing the student experience for commuter students.

The project, entitled “Commuter students: A student centred, whole-provider approach to improving commuter student experiences and outcomes in Technological Higher Education”, is led by Professor Liz Thomas, from the University of York UK, in collaboration with the Irish Technological Higher Education Association (THEA) and facilitated by N-TUTORR.
